The entire staff has been working hard to prepare for the performances. We enjoyed working on things we normally can’t do in game development such as making posters, tickets and writing the score for the orchestra (even if it was a bit painful).

The following songs will be performed.

First Half

  • Planet Corneria
  • Jungle Garden
  • Great Bay Shrine
  • Dr. Mario
  • Original Medley
  • Fountain of Dreams
  • Pokemon Medley

Second Half

  • Opening
  • Planet Venom
  • Yoshi’s Story
  • Depth of Brinstar
  • Smash Bros. Great Medley
  • Fire Emblem
  • Rainbow Cruise

There are a lot of songs you might be interested in, like the “Smash Bros Big Medley”. This is a good place to hear it. Maybe.

Everyone who attends will also receive this pamphlet. It’s small so it shouldn’t be too much trouble to hold it during the performance.

Even though I (Masahiro Sakurai, director of Melee) am a bit shy, I’ll be hosting the event! Also, Makiko Ohmoto, the voice actress of Kirby will be helping out as well!

Please look forward to this unprecedented combination of a game director and voice actress as your MCs! Also, there may be some guest appearances.

Although the songs are from video games, this is a full-fledged orchestra concert, focused on enjoying the sounds. There won’t be any advertisements or videos playing, nor any flashy showmanship, so please keep that in mind.

A Smash Bros concert is essentially the same as a Nintendo music concert! It’s rare to see Nintendo’s music from the past and present be performed in full force. I hope you enjoy the beauty of a live performance, for a fleeting moment in time!

Stay tuned!

Ticket applications are no longer being accepted. We’re preparing to mail the tickets out, so please wait for the results if you have applied.
