SourceCast #11 – The Future of Gaming

Scroll to the very bottom for the podcast links!

Welcome to the 11th episode of SourceCast. In today’s episode Nantendo is joined by founder of Source Gaming, PushDustIn, and the Article Team Leader, Spazzy_D, to talk about the future of gaming. You may notice that this episode is a lot shorter than usual and that is because we thought we would try something a bit different. Source Gaming is not everyone’s first job and this means life can get really busy at times and March just happened to be one of those times. So instead of delay the podcast we decided to try something new.

Specifically our discussion relates to dedicated console gaming. With the recent news regarding PS4.5, Microsoft considering upgrade-able consoles and the dawn of the NX we decided to discuss if and how long console gaming will continue in its current state. We talk about the rise of VR, Microsoft moving it’s games over to PC and more so we hope enjoy this round-table discussion.

  1. This was a pretty nice podcast that quenches my thirst for less of a news-based podcast, but for something more thinkpiece-y and speculative. I honestly wouldn’t mind more poscasts like this.

…Also, that reminds me E3 is going to be in about 2 months. Feels like E3 2015 was just a few months ago…

    ,,,Time is scary.

    • I’m glad you liked it. We may try and throw these in more between our usual podcasts and see which ones get the best reception.

And E3 is only 2 months away now. That’s gonna be a fun time for all.
