Japanese Players’ Impressions of the Switch

The following is a translated excerpt from Hachima, a Japanese video game blog. The original can be found here. The survey was conducted on the site itself, so I wouldn’t take it as definitive proof one way or the other. See the Dangers of Online Polling for more information.

There are also some reports that Hachima is a pretty anti-Nintendo in general, so please take these results with a grain of salt.

  1. Huh, I wasn’t expecting so many people there to be in favor of a paid online service considering Microsoft (who has pretty much non-existent market share in Japan) was the one who started that industry trend and Sony didn’t start doing that until a few years ago

      1. I got GTA V for 30 dollars with Xbox Live Gold. Hopefully nintendo does the same kind of discounts with their games

    1. Precisely. Nonsense to me. They are an odd people that it is expensive but they want to pay in order to play online. WOW! CONFUSION! Human being can be weird and stupid sometimes.
