I’m not familiar with the RayMan franchise – like at all. The only thing I see going for him is cartoony physics and his floating limbs giving him distorted hitboxes and range other physical brawler characters would dream of having in Smash.
It also doesn’t help that it seems Ubisoft’s focus has shifted away from him entirely for a focus on Assassin’s Creed (Which I’ve stated I would rather see and COULD see work out) since they have the movie, and they’re re-releasing all the Ezio games remastered on PS4 (Making the guy relevant again) which in a business sense be a big help. (And also convince Ubisoft that mature games do work on Nintendo systems – since the failure of ZombiU was seemingly the major contribution to their thought process there – THAT and they gave little to no care for the Assassin’s Creed games that DID appear on the Wii U)
