  1. You might want to check your mic, the audio is a little fishy in this vid

    • Yeah, I found out part of the way through working on Geno’s concept that my headset was starting to give out. Luckily, I got a new one as a gift anyway, so replacing it wasn’t a problem.

  2. You comments on uniqueness and people thinking Sakurai chooses characters by “how many reps does this series have” at the beginning is interesting, and I feel like more people need to know this. That being said, regardless of how unique and relevant it is, I severely doubt Lycanroc will be playable in Super Smash Bros., unless it somehow gets a big role in the anime, and even then, it still feels like an odd choice… Then again, I haven’t been paying attention to which Pokemon from Sun and Moon are popular, is Lycanroc high up there or what?

The thing about Chrom, Robin, and Lucina… I actually don’t mind that Sakurai picked Robin over Chrom, or even that he made Lucina a Marth clone, I felt like Robin and Lucina evened each other out, in a way… What I DO have a problem with is Sakurai mocking the idea of Chrom being playable through Palutena’s Guidance, saying he’d play like Ike and it would be pointless… WHILE HAVING A NEAR-IDENTICAL MARTH CLONE! I don’t care if Lucina was an afterthought and was originally meant to be a Marth alternate costume and barely took any time to be her own character, you can’t go a make fun of something like that and then do it anyway, that’s freaking hypocritical and it makes you look like a tool in the process! >:(

Even after showing off all that promotional material for Rockruff, I’m still not convinced Lycanroc would be popular enough to get considered… Or even catch Sakurai’s attention. Saying it’s this generation’s Lucario is also a stretch. Still, who knows for sure.

So you’re suggesting that this character isn’t a transformation but rather a “stance-shift”? …Is that really that much different? Eh, what do I know… Great video as always!
