Smash 4 Data Discoveries: Round 2

View Round One here— Virus Boss, Rhythm Heaven, Swap Note?!

Okay, I’m looking for more evidence for the stuff I found yesterday. Here’s my daily report.

(Not found in the game files)

(Not found in the game files)

The brainage emblem is still in the game! It’s file name is: mark_30_braintraining.nut
It needs to be properly unpacked before we can view it.
There is also a potentially unused emblem called: mark_30_etc.nut. I’m not exactly sure what it is yet.
Wii U Text (it appears in menu.msbt):
Items in bold are unused as far as I know.
This is for some menu, somewhere. It’s between the music menu text and Masterpieces text in the file. Maybe for music. I can’t really tell. It has another reference that doesn’t make sense: Super Mario Kart. But it has Brain Age with it too. The location of Super Mario Kart doesn’t make any sense either. It’s also missing Wrecking Crew, so it’s possible it’s from early in the development.
Too many unknowns at this point.

Of course, most of these trophy categories were found in the 3DS version (The only one that doesn’t is Smash Tour). When comparing the two lists, the order is the same but there are some series which made it onto the 3DS version but not the Wii U version.

Those are:

  1. StreetPass Mii Plaza
  2. Wrecking Crew

StreetPass Mii Plaza appears between Nintendogs and PAC-MAN. (3DS)
Wrecking Crew appears between Tomdachi Life and Wii Sports Resort. (3DS)

Wrecking Crew not appearing on the Wii U version is jarring.
It’s confusing. The Ice Climbers don’t have an emblem reference… but at the same time there’s no Rhythm Heaven trophy category?! Also it’s very apparent there was going to be more trophies based off of stages but those probably got cut due to time. The 3DS was going to have a Smash Run (Field Smash in Japanese) trophy; I even found the icon for it…so it makes sense that the Wii U version should have gotten a Smash Tour (Smash World in Japanese) trophy set.
Slightly interesting but nothing important:
Additional Rules were also unlockable:
Unlocked More Rules!
Find it by selecting Smash and then Rules
Unlocked random stage switching!
You can find it in the Smash rule
Any thoughts?
